Building on our experience supporting engineers in Turkey, Iraq and Syria in structural detailing and damage assessments, RedR UK is planning to deliver a Structural Detailing and Blast-induced Damage Assessment training course for engineers in Ukraine.
We are looking to recruit a “local expert” to support the development and the delivery of this training course. In this consultancy role you will provide both technical and contextual expertise in structural engineering to the Ramboll Structural Engineering Project at RedR UK. You will work alongside a project team, including another technical expert, Ramboll UK engineers, and a RedR UK facilitator (Associate Trainer), to develop and deliver the Structural Detailing and Blast-induced Damage Assessments course to engineers in Ukraine.
We are looking for a consultant with:
- Experience in post-disaster structural damage assessments in Ukraine AND/OR experience in structural detailing in Ukraine (see further details below)
- Experience in training design and delivery
- Fluency in English and Ukrainian
- Ability to work remotely.
You should have knowledge of structural and earthquake engineering, including but not limited to:
- Structural dynamics analysis
- Blast-induced structural damage assessment
- Designing earthquake resistant structures
- Blast-resistant design of structures
- Structural vulnerability and resilience
- Strengthening and retrofitting methods
